Socialist France. Reality Sets in
Article Abstract:
The President of France, Francois Mitterrand, is managing the country with Socialist policies. Unfortunately Mitterrand has not been able to improve France's economy as was promised. The private sector has been very unhappy with Mitterrand basically because of the regulations imposed on employers and government controls on businesses. The Mitterrand government is hoping for a successful economic recovery by lowering inflation, increasing employment, stabilizing the country's currency and regaining consumer confidence. Mitterrand's policies are examined.
