Article Abstract:
Empirical economists are becoming more prominent in economics. Scientists such as Alan Krueger are extending the research towards finding solutions to social challenges. However, empirical economists such as Krueger are on the whole reluctant to make policy judgements based on their findings, mostly because they recognize that even though an observation may have a strong correlation with the data, some uncertainty remains.
