Implementing earned value easily and effectively
Article Abstract:
Project managers outside the US government and its contractors rarely use earned value in evaluating the true performance of a project. While earned value provides a powerful approach for assessing true performance in terms of schedule deviation and cost deviation, the over-complication of the surrounding methodology and procedures is one of the reasons for its underutilization. Some methodologies are thus presented to overcome some of the tool's implementation problems.
