Article Abstract:
Multinational companies should not expect to earn much profits by selling to poor people and eradicating poverty in the process because the market at the bottom of the pyramid (BOP) is too small to be profitable. They should instead consider poor people as producers and buy from them to earn profits and alleviate poverty at the same time.
