Trends: a bulletin of economic developments
Article Abstract:
The impact of the Australian baby boomer generation, born between 1946 and 1961, on the economic growth of the country is evaluated. The apprehension with regard to the baby boomers spending, which will peak and then decline after a decade affecting housing, stock markets and business activity across many levels, has raised the economists' interest in studying the current position and the prospects of the generation in the near future.
