U.N. arms inspectors thwarted
Article Abstract:
The UN withdrew weapons inspectors from Iraq after Iraq refused to allow the inspectors to install video surveillance cameras on two missile testing sites south of Baghdad. The UN is trying to pressure Iraq to comply with the Gulf War resolution 715. Iraqi oil sales are also discussed.

Japan reaffirms peace-keeping role
Article Abstract:
Japan planned to participate in the UN's Cambodian peace-keeping operation, according to an announcement by Premier Kiichi Miyazawa. Miyazawa stated that Japan's participation involved some risks due to Cambodia's political turmoil, but that Japan had a responsibility to help.
