A German coup
Article Abstract:
A trading alliance has been set up between the London and Frankfurt stock exchanges from Jan 4 1999. This is an achievement for Germany's Deutsche Borse, which runs the Frankfurt exchange. Germany is also in a good position to dominate the growth stock trade in Europe, with its successful Neuer Market, launched in 1997. Neuer Markt has 63 listings and has attracted retail investors. Tough regulation has helped make Neuer Markt attractive.
