Article Abstract:
Aamcol Tools (AT) manufactures gear cutting tools. It proposes to float a public issue to raise Rs0.45 crore. The proceeds of the issue will be used for repaying the cumulative preference shares aggregating Rs0.39 crore. Its paid-up capital now is Rs0.55 crore. It is expected to increase to Rs0.99 crore after the issue. The promoters of AT hold 25.43 percent shares in the firm. AT's manufacturing facility is at Aurangabad in Maharashtra. Its net sales fell by 15 percent to Rs2.92 crore in 1997-98 from Rs3.45 crore in 1996-97. Its net profit fell by 20 percent to Rs0.24 crore from Rs0.79 crore. (uh)

STANDPACKS GETS WORLD STAR '98 AWARD

Standpacks (India) Ltd of Chennai has secured the World Star '98 Award for the third time for its innovative type of woven sack. The sack, made of polypropylene, is cost effective, light, technologically superior and can pack upto 50 kg load. It is technically referred to as centre seamless kraft lined polypropylene/HDPE woven sack. The award is given by the World Packaging Organisation. (nr)
