AMWAY PLANS TIE-UPS FOR MAJOR INDIAN BRANDS

Amway India Enterprises, a subsidiary of the $7 billion Amway Corporation of the USA, plans to enter into agreements with established Indian companies for merchandising their products. It is in the process of finalizing alliances with a few national brands in the areas of water and air purifiers, vacuum cleaners and personal care products. Amway India Ltd (AIL), a distribution company, intends to launch 15 personal and home care industry products during 1999. The move is to consolidate its share in the market.
