CA-Versicherung, the 50:50 joint venture of Creditanstalt and Wiener Stadtische, reports a 29% increase in net premiums from new business to Sch 1.661bn in 1999. The company now ranks 11th rather than 14th among Austrian insurance companies. Meanwhile Drei-Banken-Versicherungs-AG, the insurance subsidiary of the three Austrian banks Oberbank, Bank fur Karnten und Steiermark and Bank fur Tirol und Vorarlberg, signed about 60,000 new contracts in 1999, which is an all-time high.
