Airbus receives over 130 orders for new planes

Airbus S.A.S. of France has announced 138 new orders for airplanes including eight A350's at the Paris Air Show. The orders are from various international airlines including TAM Brazil, IndiGo of India and Interjet of Mexico. Boeing Co. has also announced orders for more than 100 airplanes this week, including an order for 35 Boeing 737's from Alaska Air Group Inc.

Airbus, Asian customers discuss A380-delay fees

The A380 jetliner by Airbus S.A.S. of France is facing further production delays causing havoc with delivery deadlines. The aircraft industrial is currently in talks with Asian customers for compensation. Singapore Airlines alone may be in line for as much as 300 million Singapore Dollars ($189.4 million).
