China's H share Kelon fails to shine
Article Abstract:
Guangdong Kelon Electrical Holdings of China, a refrigerator maker, will raise 747 million Hong Kong dollars, on becoming the fourth Hong Kong listed China enterprise. 85% of shares will be placed with institutional investors and the deal will be co-sponsored by Citicorp International and China Development Finance Company. Also being considered are Nanjing-Shanghai Highway and Wujiang Hydropower Development.

China opts for domestic market floats
Article Abstract:
Chinese companies are issuing domestic stocks in preference to China shares listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange. Chinese business executives prefer not to launch overseas stock listings. Numerous companies including Jilin Electric Power and China Aquatic Products were scheduled to issue H shares. The carbonated drinks manufacturer Guangdong Jianlibao has opted for a dual listing share scheme.

A and B markets blur

Beijing is seeking to revive China's A and B shares catering for domestic and foreign investors. Chinese individuals and enterprises may be entitled to purchase hard currency B shares on the Shenzhen stock market, whilst Sino-foreign funds could invest in A shares. Guangdong Provincial Freeway Co is to issue 105 million B shares, whilst Heilongjiang Electric is offering 100 million B shares.
