And the dog you came in with
Article Abstract:
Mississippi governor, Kirk Fordice, was elected on a conservative agenda which has repeatedly been defeated, and he has tended to antagonise lawmakers. His vetoes are often overridden by his own Republican party. He is popular with voters, who are not worried about who he offends, but his style means that he cannot convert his ideas into law. His plans for voter identification have not been adopted, and he opposed legal action led by the state against the tobacco industry. He has been abale to attract business to the state. He argues that people who want friends should obtain a dog.
