AUSTRIA: PLAN FOR REHABILITATION CENTRE
Article Abstract:
The Liechtenstein-based foundation Para-Reha-Stiftung International is planning a rehabilitation centre for paralysed people in Schrems, Austria. The centre with 150 beds would create 500 jobs. It would treat patients from Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic. Provided that agreements are reached with health insurance institutes, work on the Sch 1.6bn project will start by the end of 1999, and it is to be completed within three years.

AUSTRIA: COOPERATION IN BOOK TRADE
Article Abstract:
Rather than setting up new Lekture book shops of its own, the Austrian book club Buchgemeinschaft Donauland Kremayr & Scheriau, which is controlled by the Bertelsmann group of Germany, will cooperate with the book shop chain Libro (Amadeus). Starting in autumn 1999, the two companies are to combine their outlets in Vienna, Innsbruck and St. Polten. The first Lekture book shop was opened in 1998.
