BCPP sees profit
Article Abstract:
Burza cennych papiru Praha (BCPP) (Prague, Czech Republic), stock exchange company, saw a gross profit of 18.265 mil Kc in 1998. The firm will return 2.238 mil Kc of the sum as income tax and will increase its reserve, postponed tax duty from 1995, by 1.426 mil Kc. The firm's net profit amounted to 14.601 mil Kc in 1998. The company will use 9.3 mil Kc of the profit for the covering of losses for the last few years, 1 mil Kc for its reserve fund and 4.3 mil Kc will remain as retained profit. The company will pay neither dividends nor directors fees. BCPP saw a loss of 25.5 mil Kc in 1997.

The company should produce about 1,200 vehicles in 1999. Tatra should sell 1,100 lorries in 1999 compared to 1,656 pieces in 1998.
