Bill's bull horn
Article Abstract:
Microsoft president, Steve Ballmer, has announced a restructuring of the company which will be organized around consumers rather than products. Ballmer was previously the chief salesman of the company and faced complaints about software crashing and being difficult to install. Ballmer is seen to have had a major impact on the culture of Microsoft, and there is a need for him to exercise restraint at a time when the company faces antitrust action. The company has increased the number of features offered by Windows, and Windows 2000 has suffered delays due to bugs. Meanwhile, developments such as the increased importance of computer services could affect the company.
