Blue-chip marketers join the ranks of the informercial true believers
Article Abstract:
The Bank of Montreal (BoM) and Cantel AT&T are two leading Canadian firms which have come to realize the value of having more time to educate their consumers. BoM uses infomercials to provide details to their consumers on how they can assist in their mutual fund investments. Cantel decided on infomercials to market its wireless telephone service because of favorable demographics. Cantel's "Pay As You Go" infomercial is directed at teens and has fast-paced segments presented by hip young hosts.
