Breaking the rules of thumb
Article Abstract:
The thumb rules for Building Regulations were easy to understand and follow but with constant changes in the Approved Documents most architects are confused. Since regulations are in a constant state of upgrade, architects are less aware of the regulations pertaining to their project and in political terms, Building Regulations aim at fulfilling a higher ideal rather than simply improving comfort and convenience.
