Article Abstract:
An analysis of the outsourcing activities of building societies reveals that they employ a conservative approach and adopt common criteria when outsourcing. Activities that are considered as core are not usually outsourced. Those activities that are to be outsourced undergoes a formal evaluation process that includes evaluation against the internal standards of performance, the society's capability to provide an integrated service for clients as well as the consideration of market condition and supplier's culture.
