CARLSBERG SATSER PA COCA COLA PRODUKTER
Article Abstract:
Coca-Cola Nordic Beverages (CCNB), which is 51% owned by Danish Carlsberg, is to expand its business to include even Norway, Finland and the Baltic states. Through this expansion, turnover is likely to increase to DKr 6-8bn (USD 0.85-1.15bn) in the fiscal 1998/1999 from this year's DKr 3-4bn, says Flemming Lindel v, CEO of Carlsberg. In Norway, a new plant in Oslo will supply the main part of the market from the beginning of 1999, whereas CCNB co-operates with Sinebrychoff in Finland. Soft drink consumption in Norway averages as much as 132 litres per person/year, in Finland 55 litres. The aim is that Coca-Cola's products will account for 25% of Carlsberg's turnover in the future.
