CIC appears poised to benefit from Indonesia recovery
Article Abstract:
Bank Century Intervest Corp (CIC) is set to benefit from the turnaround of the Indonesian economy. The bank, one of only six banks that did not require any restructuring after the Asian financial crisis because of a capital-adequacy ratio of above 6%, has outperformed such big financial institutions as Bank Panin and Bank Bali. CIC's impressive performance has even captured the attention of George Soros' Quantum Emerging Growth fund, which has acquired a 19%-stake in the bank.
