Calgary firm bets on lottery expertise
Article Abstract:
Applied Gaming Solutions of Canada Inc, based in Calgary, Alberta, has won a C$40-million contract to supply the Socialist Republic of Vietnam with its first computerized lottery system. The company, which admittedly lacked the expertise to provide video lotteries, managed to win the contract because of the efforts of its president David Aftergood. Aftergood was able to enter into alliances with both Automated Wager International and Motorola.
