Diageo Plc of the UK is a company established in 1997 through a merger of Guinness and Grand Metropolitan that created the largest food and drinks business in the world. The firm brought together such major global brands as Green Giant, Bailey's, Pillsbury, Guinness and Smirnoff Vodka. Diageo's Burger King is the second-largest hamburger restaurant chain in the world with 9,400 managed and franchised restaurants in 56 countries.
