The firm, present in the local market since 1978, boasts the most extensive range of breakfast cereals in the country. Kellogg's products are divided into family and children's cereals, of which the leading brand is Smacks, and followed by Choco Krispies and Corn Flakes. Kellogg employs an estimated 180 people and operates a modern facility in Valls, which manufactures 25 million kilos of breakfast cereals per year.

Kellogg has remained the dominant player in the breakfast cereals market of Spain in 1997 with a volume share of 65.5% as private label grows. The company has been in the market since 1978 and its products are deemed having the highest quality, with its name being synonymous with breakfast cereals. Kellogg allots a great amount to advertising in an effort to keep a high profile of its products which has proven successful. At the same time, private label strengthened its volume share by 3.1 percentage point to represent 9.5% in 1997.
