The firm is one of the major food producers in the country with products ranging from confectionery to sauces, and has a workforce of about 5,000 people. Nestle Espana saw its revenues grow 7.9% in 1995 and net profits by 10.7% in 1996, reflecting in part a stabilization of raw materials prices of coffee and cocoa. The company advertising expenditure increase 23.3% in 1996 to amount to Ptas6,250.4 million.
