An analysis of Asian economic trends as high technology companies and electronic commerce begin to dominate growth. Asia differs from the US in many ways. US consumers are making an easier transition to online shopping because they are already accustomed to mail order business. Also, in Asia the chaebols, corporate conglomerates, control both traditional and non-traditional businesses.
