DEA-discriminant analysis in the view of goal programming
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to identify the differences and similarities between Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Discriminant Analysis (DA) from the perspective of Goal Programming. As a result of such characterization, a new type of DA approach called 'DEA-Discriminant Analysis (DEA-DA)' is proposed. DEA-DA combines the analytical strengths of DEA and DA which is intended to determine the existence of an overlap between the two techniques at its first stage. The second stage of DEA-DA determines a separating classification function.

Extended DEA-discriminant analysis
Article Abstract:
DEA-Discriminant analysis is a non-parametric method. This study proposes a new type of DEA-DA ("Extended DEA-DA) which retains all the discriminant abilities while also avoiding some of the methodological problems of the original formulation.
