Article Abstract:
The Danish construction market is weakening, according to the trade organisation Byggeriets Arbejdsgivere. This year, the number of new detached houses will decline by 1,000 to 6,600, and it is expected to decline even further to 6,000 next year. Even the construction of industries and offices will decline, but not as much as housing construction. In all, construction activities are expected to be reduced by 5% in 1999 and 8% in 2000.

Denmark: Property prices forecast to fall
Article Abstract:
The latest economic forecast by Greens Analyseinstitut indicates a growing uncertainty among Danish companies following the US terrorist attacks and the global recession. This is expected to result in consumers becoming more restrained as regards major investments such as acquiring property. This, in turn, is anticipated to result in property prices falling in the next six months. Even housing construction is expected to slow down.
