Article Abstract:
Meat price hikes will now begin to be felt on the retail trade level as well and the retail sector and the slaughter-house industry are awaiting consumer reactions. Meat giant Danish Crown's CEO Kjeld Johannesen says consumers will react to rising prices at some level but it is impossible to know when this reaction comes. He also says that he believes that pork prices will continue to rise as long as England is not slaughtering pigs.
