DENMARK: MOBILIX POSTS LOSSES
Article Abstract:
Mobilix, the Danish mobile telephony company owned by Orange, reported a loss of DKr920mn (US$112mn) in 2000. Mobilix managing director Monique Moulle-Zetterstrom says she is expecting the company to reach a break-even towards the end of this year. Mobilix is also hoping to win a UMTS license, which however would put further pressure on the company's finances. Michael Latimer, board member of the executive body of Orange and board member of Mobilix, says Orange and Mobilix are to introduce a flat rate for subscribers some time this year.
