Denmark: Lucent sells fiber optic division

Lucent, the US telecoms equipment producer and Japanese Furukawa Electric have reached an agreement whereby Lucent sells its fiber division for DKr19.4bn (US$2.3bn) to the Japanese company. This deal comprises Lucent's high-technology factory in Brondby, Denmark, that produces optic fibre to high-speed telecoms networks.

Denmark: Web sites accused of sponging on newspapers
Article Abstract:
Danske Dagblade Forening (DDF), the Association of Danish Newspapers, threatens to sue two Internet web sites unless they stop using so-called "deep links". The association is critical of the fact that the web sites are linking directly to individual newspaper articles and says they are sponging on their news.
