DENMARK: SONOFON LIKELY TO BE SOLD OFF

Sonofon, the Danish mobile phone operator, is likely to be acquired by another player on the market sooner or later, says the telecom analyst John Strand. At present, the company is owned by the Danish group GN Store Nord and the American company Bell South. John Strand expects that Swedish Telia, and its merger partner Telenor, will be interested in acquiring Sonofon.

Denmark: Thrige-Titan sold two plants
Article Abstract:
Danish company Thrige-Titan has sold two plants in Odense and southern Germany that manufactures battery operated electrical motors. The part of the company that was sold has a turnover of DKr450mn(US$54mn) and 450 employees. The buyer is Sauer-Danfoss, a German/Danish company that produces hydraulics and electrical steering for fork-lift truck producers.
