DENMARK: STARBUCKS TO ENTER THE DANISH MARKET
Article Abstract:
Starbucks, the leading coffee-bar chain in the world, aims to start operations in Denmark and the rest of Scandinavia. Starbucks is currently negotiating with the Norwegian Narvesen group. A deal between these two is likely to result in Starbucks starting operations in Denmark as well. This, in turn, would put pressure on a new pan-Scandinavian coffee-shop chain Baresso and another chain Hald & Bjerregaard. Baresso aims to open 100 coffee-bars in Scandinavia, 30 of which would be situated in Denmark.
