DENMARK:UNIBANK LAUNCHES E-COMMERCE MARKET PLACE
Article Abstract:
Solo Torvet is the name of Unibank's Internet e-commerce market place that is to be made available to the public today. Through Solo Torvet, consumers will get access to 30 stores but the aim is to increase this to 300 stores by the end of the year. Unlinke rival Firstviewbank, Solo Torvet is not going to sell other finance houses' products through its e-commerce market place as it would result in a price war, according to Jens Galatius, who heads Unibank's electronic banking operations. Solo Torvet is available to anyone but Solo Torvet's clients will be able to pay for the goods they buy through Solo Torvet with the help of an e-payment solution.
