DIAL ABN AMRO FOR FLEET MANAGEMENT
Article Abstract:
ABN Amro of Holland proposes to establish Lease Plan Fleet Management India (LPFMI), a management service company, in India. It will be set up through ABN Amro Leasing Holding, its Indian subsidiary. LPFMI will manage a fleet of cars, pay road taxes and get the tank filled. The services will be aimed at Indian corporate house with global clients. The new company will also take care of maintenance of car, insurance, tax details and replenishing the fleet. LPFMI is expected to commence its activities in the next 6-9 months. (ag)

Merck KGaA of Germany has decided to set up a dedicated bulk drug process development unit in India. Merck Development Centre (India) Ltd, the wholly-owned Indian subsidiary, will inaugurate the Rs18 crore development unit at Taloja in Maharashtra by December 1998. The unit will concentrate on processes for products going off patent and may also suggest process changes for drugs which are already off-patent. (khr)
