Decision support systems in action: integrated application in a multicriteria decision aid process
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to characterize an application of multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) wherein several decision support systems are integrated in the interactive learning process. MCDA was used to examine problems facing the textile industry in Santa Catarina, Brazil. The problems focused on increasing the competing capacity of small and medium textile companies. Results indicated that MCDA allowed decision makers to have the flexibility of analyzing issues and their interrelationships.

Multi-objective modeling for engineering applications: DIDASN++ system
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze multi-objective modeling for engineering applications. Basic relations related to the aspiration-based methodology of multi-objective optimization were considered. Standards of determining large-scale linear frameworks and concerns associated with multi-objective modeling were also analyzed. In addition, the use of a software package called DIDASN++ in mechanics and automatic control was discussed.
