The Spanish market for dairy products
Article Abstract:
The study indicated the major trends in Spain's market for dairy products for the period 1991-1995. Under the period examined, Spain's market performed favorably, especially in the milk sector which registered a 20% increase during the review period and a 62% value share in 1995. The cheese sector, on the other hand, posted its highest value growth by 12.5% in 1992. Both the cream and butter sectors performed well, in terms of growth, with cream posting the highest value growth of 59.1%. It is expected that Spain's market value will decline by 6.8% as important trends such as segmentation of products are predicted to continue.
