Denmark: Election campaigns go cyberspace
Article Abstract:
For the first time in the Danish history of parliamentary elections, parties are using the Internet as a decisive means of bringing out their political messages without having to pass the media filter of newspapers, tv etc. It is the youth parties in particular that have started using alternative means of attracting first-time voters. At the same time, the Internet has taken over many of the roles of election meetings.

DENMARK: PIG STOCK UP
Article Abstract:
The Danish pig stock increased by 3.2% during July, compared to the corresponding month 1998. According to Bent Claundi Larsen, chairman at Danske Slagterier, the increase indicates that Danish pig producers are coping with international competition although prices are going down.
