Denmark: Terma targets new fighter contracts
Article Abstract:
Terma, the leading producer of military hardware in Denmark, wants to become a supplier to the new US-British Joint Strike Fighter. According to Terma division manager Borge Witthoft, the prerequisite for this is that the government and the parliament pay US$100mn that is required for taking part in the development of the new fighter as the producer of the JSF fighter is believed to prioritise companies from those countries that have helped in financing the project. By becoming a supplier to Joint Strike Fighter, 400-500 new jobs could be created at Terma.
