Diageo, Pernod sign Seagram deal

Pernod-Ricard SA and Diageo PLC have signed a deal in which they will jointly acquire the spirits and wine operations of Seagram Co. The deal is expected to be valued at $7 billion to $9 billion (7.89 billion euros to 10.14 billion euros).
