The UK market for digital cameras is increasing rapidly, with sales predicted to rise from 80,000 in 1997 to 200,000 in 2001. The cost of a camera ranges from a basic model at around 300 pounds sterling to a top of the range model costing 25,000 pounds sterling. The major electrical chain stores sell 40% of the cameras, with cameras made by Kodak Ltd. and Casio Electronics Company Ltd. retaining the largest share of the market. The UK market is valued at around 80 million pounds sterling. Digital cameras can be used in conjunction with personal computers.

Audio-visual equipment in the UK
Article Abstract:
The UK audio-visual equipment market was worth about 2.8 billion pounds sterling in 1998/99, with audio equipment accounting for 43% of the market by value, television sets 38%, and video players and digital video disk players accounting for 19%. There are no television manufacturers in the UK owned by UK companies, although large percentage of large television sets are produced there. UK-owned companies account for the production of a large percentage of equipment such as loudspeakers and also produce radios, tuners, and amplifiers.

Collective stereographic photo essays: an integrated approach to probing consumption experiences in depth
Article Abstract:
An integrated approach called stereographic photo essay was created for use in probing a consumption experience in depth. Stereographic photo essay takes into account a method in which informants establish their own photographic representations with the use of disposable cameras. The approach combines the five aspects on marketing or consumer research, namely consumption experience, photography, photo essay, stereography and collective collaboration.
