Economic turmoil in Asia should be viewed as an opportunity for foreign investors. If exchange rate adjustments are effective and International Monetary Fund reform conditions are made, Asia could recover strongly due to export growth. China is also expected to benefit from the crisis. In addition, there are opportunities in the accounting and legal services sector.

Currency plunge offers relief to region's airlines
Article Abstract:
Asian airlines with a high percentage of revenues in foreign currencies are not hurt by the region's devaluation. Philippine Airlines and Thai Airways International carry about 75% of their revenues as exporters. However overall, most South East Asian carriers are in difficult financial straits with the Malaysian forest fires compounding their problems.
