Some 5.9 million pounds sterling was spent on advertising fruit juices in the UK, during 1977, with 36.8% of the total expenditure spent on promoting Oasis. Del Monte has the largest volume sales for fruit juices of all the branded manufacturers at 4.6%. Fruit juices are divided into two sectors, juice drinks and pure juice. They are sold in single size cartons or one litre boxes. Ribena had the largest volume of sales for single size juice cartons, in 1997, at 25.8%. The most popular brand of one litre juice drinks, in 1997, was Ocean Spray which accounted for 21.1% of sales.

Article Abstract:
A survey considers the fruit juices and soft drinks industry in Germany. Pure fruit juice production was worth about DM2.8 billion in 1995, and total 1996 sales of fruit-based and carbonated soft drinks are estimated at DM9.7 billion. Specialist cash and cary style drinks supermarkets, or Abholmarkte, represented around 20% of soft drink sales and 10% of fruit juice sales, with grocery outlets representing the remainder of sales. The survey looks at patterns of consumption and provides details of manufacturers and brands.
