Benzina AS (Prague, Czech Republic), fuel distributor, expects a loss of only 10 mil Kc in 2000. The firm is improving its economy due to the restructuring of its costs. It saw a cumulative loss of 1.712 bil Kc under a stock of 2.104 bil Kc at the end of 1999. The firm's general assembly in May 2000 decided to decrease the stock to 421 mil Kc. The firm's stock should increase by 500 mil Kc subsequently. The trade network of Benzina AS includes 339 petrol stations throughout the Czech Republic. Benzina AS has a 78.2% stake held by Unipetrol (Czech Republic), a 13.4% stake by Chemopetrol (Czech Republic), a 4.2% stake by Koramo (Czech Republic) and a 4.2% stake by Paramo (Czech Republic).

Canadian dollar - strong to fight inflation, but edging down

Article Abstract:

The Canadian dollar fluctuated sideways against the US dollar between 7 Sep and 11 Dec 90. The Canadian dollar rate of US $0.861 per Canadian dollar was virtually identical to the rate on 7 Sep, though the Canadian dollar peaked at US $0.872 on 12 Oct and hit a trough of US $0.851 on 16 Oct, after which it recovered. The bank rate fell by over 2% between April and October due to Bank of Canada policy, which was reacting to a decline in GDP and a slackening monetary expansion. The Bank of Canada has implemented anti-inflationary policies and is the only one of the Group of Seven nations to record lower inflation in the year to September than the previous year.

Sherwood Forest is an adventure game that has the players racing around Sherwood Forest hunting for Robin Hood, and Maid Marion, who are supposed to be getting married. The object of the game is to find them both and get them to the church on time. The game features hi-res graphics with some animation. A display screen from the game is included.
