British Aerospace promotes Typhoon in Australia
Article Abstract:
British Aerospace (BAe) filed a discussion paper with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) proposing the use of its Eurofighter Typhoon as a replacement for F/A-18 fighters and RF/F-111 Strike Reconnaissance Force. The paper was submitted inspite of the RAAF already having a more than $636-mil F/A-18 upgrading program. The BAe proposal if taken on by the RAAF, will provide the Eurofighter Typhoon with range and endurance enhancements that the RAAG is planning to give its F/A-18s.

Danish air force will stay involved in JSF progra,
Article Abstract:
The Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF) will be involved in the early phases of the US Joint Strike Fighter program as part of an agreement to maintain the status of Denmark as an informed customer. Denmark will not buy a new fighter to replace its upgraded F-16AM/BMs until at least 2001. The RDAF cited the importance of continued involvement to be able to secure a better price than Denmark would pay off the shelf as an outside customer.
