Colombia's government has failed to end the civil war and most Colombians have no faith in peace talks. There is much violence by guerrillas, as well as attacks on guerrillas by paramilitary groups said to have links to the Colombian army. The US may now be less willing to back the peace process.

Don't wait, reintegrate: Colombia
Article Abstract:
Colombia has had a long standing history dealing with ex-guerrilla fighters after negotiations have caused hostilities between the government and radical movements to cease. Guerrillas are educated and trained with job skills to reintegrate them into mainstream society.
