A generalization of Ruckle's results for an ambush game

Article Abstract:

A study has been conducted to examine the discreet version of an ambush game problem wherein a player chooses in integer interval, two integer intervals consisting of k and m points and the other player chooses an integer point. The solution for the game has been determined to be k=1, 2. Computations have revealed that the situation can be formulated mathematically by letting the defender, player II, choose closed intervals of lengths a and b in the closed unit interval and the traveller, player I, a point, called his crossing point, in [0,1].
