Expos' PR push comes to the plate

Optimum Public Relations has been chosen to provide public relations services for the Montreal Expos professional baseball team. The move to hire an outside public relations firm, the first time in franchise history, is a decision made by the company's new owners led by Chmn and CEO Jeffrey Loria. The Montreal Expos, which submitted the worst attendance in major league history in 1999, is expected to have a new open-air ballpark by 2002.
