Fear of flu ruffles city
Article Abstract:
Hong Kong officials are exterminating 1.2 million chickens in an attempt at stopping the proliferation of a deadly flu strain. The H5N1 flu virus has been passed from chicken to human in the past, resulting in several human deaths. Containment of flu outbreaks in China is vital, for 2 of 3 of the last flu pandemics have origins in this region of China.
