Finding flaws
Article Abstract:
Latent defects in design are of concern to architects who might be responsible for any damage they might cause for up to fifteen years from the construction of the building. The issue is discussed in reference to two court cases, one in which the architect avoided liability as the claimants had not discovered the defect despite an opportunity to do so, and the second in which the architects were found liable as, although someone had previously discovered the defect, the claimants had not.
